AED placement in Springville

The Parks and Recreation Department of Springville, Alabama, was the recipient of two automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and two medical-grade first aids kits from the National Center for Sports Safety’s (SportsSafety.org) AED Placement Program.  All of the units were fully funded in a grant written by the National Center for Sports Safety, a nonprofit, to the Altec/Styslinger Foundation Inc.

Parks and rec. departments in the five Alabama cities of Dora, Jasper, Pleasant Grove, Center Point and Springville are the recent recipients of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and medical-grade first aids kits from the National Center for Sports Safety’s (SportsSafety.org) AED Placement Program.

The National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS), an Alabama-based nonprofit, is celebrating 14 years of sports safety initiatives. NCSS’s AED Placement Program is on its third year of operation and has placed nearly $100,000 worth of AEDs and medical-grade first aid kits in parks and rec. departments across Alabama.

Cardiac Solutions, a world leader in public access defibrillators, announced today that it has signed a multi-year agreement with CSX to become the company’s supplier of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Cardiac Solutions will supply approximately 300 samaritan® PAD 350P AEDs that will be installed at CSX facilities in the U.S. and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
